John J. King, 72, of Elizabeth, N.J., passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 30, 2023. John was born in Elizabeth, NJ, and moved to Queens, NY, where he lived with his wife, Evelyn, for 30 years before returning to Elizabeth, in 2012. He was an avid reader, who enjoyed music and going to concerts.

John is predeceased by his wife, Evelyn King, and his father, Joseph King.

He is survived by his mother, Mary King, his brother Joseph King, Jr., and his wife Debbie, his nieces, Theressa and Marissa, his nephew Mark and his wife Jennifer and his great nieces and great nephews; Allyson, Peyton, Matthew, Justin, Austin, Mackenzie, and Amber.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 9-10 a.m. at the Petruccelli Funeral Home, 232 Christine St., Elizabeth, NJ 07202 with a funeral mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, 853 Third Avenue, Elizabeth, NJ.
