Rose Puma, 99, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 16, 2023. She was born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey, where she lived prior to moving to Cranford, New Jersey in 2018. In 2021, she relocated to Clark, New Jersey where she was currently residing.
Rose was a seamstress for 20 years working for an Elizabeth clothing manufacturer before becoming a secretary for the City of Elizabeth in the Department of Public Works in 1982. She retired in 1997 after 15 years of service. From 1997 until 2002 Rose continued to work as a lunch aide at School #14 in Elizabeth. She was also a member of the Retired Men and Ladies' Club of Elizabeth. Rose enjoyed cooking and sewing and loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Frank Puma, and her daughter, Diane F. Puma.
She is survived by her daughter Patricia Triolo and her husband Dominick, her grandchildren; Anthony Triolo and his wife Maria, Michael Triolo and his wife Diane, and Christine Kubik and her husband, Keith, and her great-grandchildren: Emily, Anthony, Sarah, Catherine, Timothy, Brian, Nicholas, and Ava.
A visitation will be held at the Petruccelli Funeral Home, 232 Christine St, Elizabeth, NJ on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, from 8:30-9:45 am with a funeral mass to follow at 10:30 am at Saint Anthony of Padua R.C. Church,853 Third Avenue, Elizabeth, NJ. Burial will be at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden, NJ.
