Vita Tartamella, 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. She was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey where she remained a lifelong resident. For over 35 years, Vita worked in the Admitting Department at Elizabeth's three hospitals, Alexian Brothers, The General, and Trinitas, from which she retired. She was a member of the Retired Men and Ladies' Club of Elizabeth and enjoyed doing ceramics and painting. Vita also loved pets, especially cats and dogs, but her favorite pastime was going out to eat for family dinners and gatherings

She is predeceased by her parents, Michael and Giacoma Tartamella, her brother, Biagio(Gino) Tartamella, and her nephew, Daniel Tartamella.

Vita was the beloved aunt of Jacqueline(Jackie) Kaelin, and her husband Kevin, and Michael Tartamella, and his wife Denise, and the dear great-aunt of Courtney Tartamella and Madison Kaelin. She will be greatly missed by her family, many friends, her cat Pookie and her nephew's dog, Hamlet.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, March 31, 2023, at Saint Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, 853 Third Avenue, Elizabeth, NJ. Entombment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 1100 E. Broad Street, Westfield, NJ.
