Obituary of Ninetta(Nancy) Kornmeyer

Ninetta(Nancy) Kornmeyer, 93, of Elizabeth, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Roderfield, West Virginia, and moved to the Peterstown section of Elizabeth at the age of 3, where she lived for the past 90 years. Ninetta worked as a clerk for the A & P grocery store chain in their Newark, NJ office for 20 years. She was also a member of the Retired Men and Ladies Club of Peterstown. Most of her time was spent caring for her family and her home was the gathering place for everyone. Ninetta enjoyed cooking and sharing meals with the people she loved. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family, especially summers at Lake Hopatcong, NJ which were filled with fun, and fond memories. Ninetta is predeceased by her husband of 38 years, William C. Kornmeyer. She is survived by her children; Linda Kornmeyer, and Vincent Kornmeyer, and his companion. Sharon Searles, her grandchildren; Frank Crespo and his wife Lisa, Kristina Kornmeyer and her companion, Eugene Deckert and William Kornmeyer and his wife, Melissa, and her great-grandchildren; Frank D. Crespo, Victoria Crespo, and her companion, Austin Peterson, Lillian Kornmeyer, Annabelle Kornmeyer, and Wyatt Kornmeyer and her dog, Cody. A visitation will be held at the Petruccelli Funeral Home, 232 Christine St, Elizabeth, NJ on Monday, August 15, 2022, from 10-11 am with a funeral service to follow. Entombment will be at Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.
