Obituary of Antonio Cafaro

Antonio Cafaro, 82, of Elizabeth, NJ passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Cafaro was born in Salerno, Italy, and emigrated to Elizabeth, NJ in 1961, where he resided for the remainder of his life. He worked for 36 years as a bricklayer for the Bricklayers & Allied Crafts Local No. 4, of Fairfield, NJ, retiring in 2001. He is predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Michelina Cafaro. Mr. Cafaro is survived by his children; Giulio Cafaro, and Maria Price, his grandchildren; Jason, Thomas, Faith, Allen, and Christopher, and his great-grandchildren; Nolan, Avery, and Landon. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022, from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 9-9:45 a.m. at the Petruccelli Funeral Home, 232 Christine Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07202 with a funeral mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, 853 Third Ave., Elizabeth NJ, 07202. Cremation to follow at Rosehill Crematory, Linden, NJ.
