Elvira Rosa Orellana, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 30, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Elvira was born and raised in Chile where she met the Mills family in 1962. A year later she emigrated to New Jersey to pursue a job opportunity they offered her. Elvira worked for the Mills family as their housekeeper for 40 years retiring in 2002. What began as a working relationship, developed into a lasting friendship. She is predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Orellana. Elvira is survived by her loving sons; Lawrence, Alexander, and Steve Orellana, her cherished grandchildren; Alexander Gabriel, Christian, Glanel, Julian, Jayline, and Gabriela, and many dear relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Petruccelli Funeral Home, 232 Christine Street, Elizabeth, NJ on Friday, February 4, 2022, at 8:45 am then to St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, Elizabeth, NJ where at 10:00 am a funeral mass will be offered. Visitation is Thursday, February 3, 2022, from 4-8pm.
