Lucy Carmel Maricondi, passed away on Thursday, August 26th, 2021 with her daughter, and granddaughters by her side, about twelve hours before her 95th birthday. Mrs. Maricondi was born in Elizabeth, NJ prior to moving to Lutz, Florida in 2000, where she resided with Barbara and John Jazesf for the remainder of her life. She was a wonderful homemaker and fed anyone who walked through her door. She was an avid "Afghan Crocheter", making well over 100 afghans over the years for all of her family and friends. No one had an unkind word to say about her. She loved all and forgave all, having no enemies. She will be dearly missed by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, "Whitey", daughter Phyllis Hoffner, and sister, Ange DiSprito. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Jazesf, and Rosanne Karchonas, sons-in-law, John M. Jazesf, John J. Hoffner, Steve Karchonas, her 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, her sister, and brother-in-law, Diane, and Joe Mulford. and many nieces, and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral from the Petruccelli Funeral Home, 232 Christine Street, Elizabeth, New Jersey on Monday, September 20, 2021, at 10:00 am followed by a service at the funeral home at 10:30 am. Interment is in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden, New Jersey. Visitation is Sunday, September 19, 2021 from 2-5pm. It is the wish of the family that flowers be omitted.
