Joseph F. Petrone, 68, of Linden, NJ, loving father, brother, and uncle passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 1, 2021. Joseph was born September 5, 1952 in Roselle Park, NJ, to parents Carl and Helen “Kitty”. He moved to Linden, NJ in 1975 where he would live the remainder of his life. Joseph worked at the General Motors Plant in Linden, NJ, for 16 years leaving in 1989 to start his own construction company, Joseph F. Petrone & Sons Contracting, which he owned and operated with his two sons Joey and Ben. He retired in 2005 after the loss of his son, Benjamin. One of his favorite pastimes was fishing on his boat with his sons for hours on end. He is predeceased by his sons; Benjamin John(2005), and Joseph Carl (2021) Petrone. He is survived by his daughters; Tiffany Petrone, and Kimberly Waugh, and her husband, Bradley, his sisters; Pauline Petrulla, and her husband Frank, Roe Howell, and her husband George, and Teresa Schlegel and her husband Greg, and many nieces and nephews. To honor Joseph’s wishes, a celebration of life will take place sometime in the summer to commemorate his reunion with his sons, Benjamin and Joseph, once again.
