Robert(Bobby) J. Ciano, Sr., 90, of Monroe, NJ, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.
A visitation will be held at the Petruccelli Funeral Home, 232 Christine St, Elizabeth, NJ on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 10:30am with a funeral service to follow at 11:00am. Interment will immediately follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Newark, NJ.
Bobby was born, and raised in Elizabeth, NJ where he lived until 1985 when he moved to Mountainside, NJ, and recently relocated to Monroe, NJ. Along with his father, he established a construction company, John Ciano and Son, Inc. which he owned, and operated until his retirement. He is a veteran and served his country in the US Navy. Bobby loved the racetrack and owned Thoroughbred race horses for many years. He was an avid traveler, and enjoyed bowling.
He is predeceased by his infant son, and his sister, Marie Johnson.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Judi (Silverman)Ciano, his dog Sasha, his children; John Ciano, and his wife Noreen, Robert Ciano, Jr., and his wife Anita, Mary (Ciano)Simonovich, and her husband George, Daniel Ciano, and Thomas Ciano, and his wife Theresa, his stepson Jason Silverman, and his stepdaughter Monica Baron. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Kozak, his 23 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, and nephews.
