Antonio DiPaola, 91, of Elizabeth, NJ loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 31, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.
Antonio was born on September 26, 1929 to his parents Rocco and Maria Luigia in Guardia Lombardi, Italy. He moved to America in 1955 where he settled in Elizabeth, NJ for the remainder of his life.
Antonio worked for MacMillan Bloedel for 33 years as a machine operator until his retirement in 1988. He was also the co-owner of DiPaola Landscaping of Elizabeth, NJ from 1989-2002.
He is predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Maria(Montemarano) DiPaola.
Antonio is survived by his daughter, Luisa Firetto, and her husband, Vincenzo, his son, Joseph DiPaola and his wife, Anna, his grandchildren; Joseph Firetto and his wife Lina, Anthony Firetto and his wife Nancy, Christina Pires and her husband Avelino, Mariangela, Adriana, and Antonella, his great-grandchildren; Bella, Vinny, Valentina, Victoria, Enzo, and Avelino, and many nieces, and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from at 8:30am-9:45am at the Petruccelli Funeral Home, 232 Christine Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07202 with a funeral mass to follow at 10:30am at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, 853 Third Ave.,Elizabeth, NJ 07202. Entombment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Hillside, NJ.
