Liboria (nee Macaluso) Priolo, 89, of Parlin, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 8, 2021 surrounded by her loving family by her side. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 11:00am at Saint Anthony of Padua. R.C Church, Elizabeth, NJ. Entombment will follow at Saint Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ. Visitation will be held privately at Petruccelli Funeral Home, 232 Christine St, Elizabeth, NJ Liboria was born on Dec 26,1931 in Ribera, Italy, and in 1960, she came to Elizabeth, where she resided until moving to Parlin, NJ in 1995. She worked as a seamstress in Elizabeth for 10 years. She was a member of the Ribera Club Women’s Auxiliary in Elizabeth, NJ. Liboria was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, known for her big heart and inviting smile. She loved to cook, spending summers in Seaside, and making everyone feel welcomed, which is why everyone called her “Nonna Bonnie”. However, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, children and grandchildren. One of her finest qualities was her ability to be a trusted confidant. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her was touched by her generosity and kindness. She'll be greatly missed by her family and friends. Liboria was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Joseph (Giuseppe) Priolo, her brother Giuseppe Macaluso, and her sister, Carmelina Arcuri. She is survived by her daughters; Sarah Minervino (Ron), and Frances Priolo (John), her grandchildren; Alfonso (Jenn) and Alessandra Minervino, and Sean and Daniella Butler, and her brother, Emanuele Macaluso.
