Lidia Pineda, 68, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 7, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in El Salvador, Lidia moved to Elizabeth, New Jersey in 1995, where she lived the remainder of her life. Lidia worked as a dedicated food packer at World Class Kitchens in Freehold, New Jersey for over ten years, retiring in 2020. Known for her passion for cooking, Lidia had a gift for making sure no one ever left her home hungry. Her kitchen was a gathering place where she showed her love through meals, feeding not only her family, but anyone who crossed her path. She also enjoyed sewing and had a knack for fixing just about anything, always eager to help others in any way she could. Lidia also loved birds and enjoyed feeding them in the park. However, her deepest pride and joy came from her children and grandchildren, whom she adored and cherished. Her family was the center of her world, and she took great pleasure in nurturing and caring for them. Above all, Lidia was a woman of deep faith, whose life was marked by love, service, and generosity. She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family and selfless spirit.
Lidia is survived by her son, Gilberto Pineda, and his wife Elizabeth, her daughter, Dora Pineda, and her grandchildren; Manuel, Anthony, Alissia, and Daniel.
Visitation will be held at the Petruccelli Funeral Home, 232 Christine St, Elizabeth, NJ on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, from 9-9:45 am with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden, NJ.
