Jean Lucas, 87, mother of Simon Lack, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025,
in Morristown, NJ. Born in Beckenham, UK, in 1938 to the late Roy and Kathleen
Rogers, Jean, spent most of her life in the UK before moving to the US in 2005 to be
near her family.
Jean’s career included publishing, running a pub, and teaching English as a second
language. She traveled widely and spent several years living in Montreal, where she
married and had her son, Simon. She also lived in Vicenza, Italy.
Jean was very social and outgoing, quick to laugh. She was great company and over
the years provided countless funny episodes for her family that will remain fond
memories for many years to come.
Jean is survived by her son, Simon, and his wife, Karen, their three children, Jaclyn
(Camilo), Daniel (Elizabeth) and Alexandra, and eight great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 11:00 am at Trinity Episcopal Church, 119 Forest Avenue, Cranford, NJ.
