Gasper Joseph Migliorino passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Gasper moved to Woodbridge in 1967, Piscataway in 1985, Forked River in 2010, before relocating to Jackson in 2024. His professional career was marked by dedication and leadership, having served as Department Head of Operations Management at Two Guys Department Stores in Garfield, New Jersey, for over 20 years.
Gasper's love for his family was unmatched. He liked tradition, Sunday dinners, and family outings. He was a mentor to us all and enjoyed discussions about politics, the stock market, and everything in between. Gasper was also an avid bowler, his team's anchorman, and always willing to give other bowlers coaching tips. He enjoyed going to the movies, keeping up to date with world events, going to the boardwalk, parasailing, and traveling. He truly lived life to the fullest. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Gasper shared his love and handed down his knowledge and wisdom.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 years, Irene (Wasta) Migliorino, and his sister, Mary Colletti.
Gasper leaves behind his loving daughters, Donna and Lynn Migliorino; his cherished grandchildren, Anthony and Nicholas Rekosik and Jenna Migliorino; and his adored great-grandchildren, Weston, Austin, and Emma. He is also survived by his nephew, Joseph Colletti, and his dear friend, Judith Stein.
Along with his genuine smile, Gasper will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him in return.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 3-7 p.m. and Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the Petruccelli Funeral Home, 232 Christine St., Elizabeth, NJ 07202 with a funeral mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's R.C. Church, 853 Third Avenue, Elizabeth, NJ. Burial is in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden, N.J.
